I need to replace my PTT motor on my 99 Mercury 150. Trying to unscrew the bolt in the back I couldn’t get a bite. Of course it seems I’m not the first person to venture back there and after getting my camera in there, I see it’s stripped. 
It seems I have to remove the entire unit now.
Is there a trick to get the PTT unit out without doing anything with the engine? I REALLY dont want to unbolt anything on the engine. I’ve already disconnected all the bolts and the hydraulic ram.
