I tried to rebuild a carb on my boat and found out that I cannot remove one of the bolts holding it. The bolt is one of the four holding carb to the engine. It is the one facing the front of the boat on the port side. I was able to put a soccet (I believe it is 1/2") but could not fit the ratchet or any extension on it. The carb body was going in the way. Neither I was able to use any wrench since the throttle cable assembly was in the way. And the throttle cable assembly was hard to remove since the bolt holding it was angled towards the carb and same story, could fit a soccet on it but cannot use any extension or ratchet, they did not fit. I wonder if there is any special tool used to remove these stupid bolts and what kind of an idiot designed the carburetor so that normal tool set does not allow to remove it.
Thanks for any help, I'm pretty frustrated after trying to remove it for 2 hours in the Arizona sun.
