removing the flywheel,

hello can someone help me with my chrysler 9.9hp
i've lost all spark, i take it i have to take the flywheel of to see the points etc, can someone help me on removing it and help fix/where to buy, replace all parts?

You loosen the flywheel nut and leave it at the top of the threads so you don't **** them up. You put a very large screwdriver or a prybar between the flywheel and block. Push down while rapping the nut firmly. The flywheel should pop off.

Sometimes with sitting, the points get corroded and it is possible that simply cleaning them will restore starting. Set them to .020 open.

If you need to buy them, franzmarine@aol.com will have them but they are two sets at 18 bucks each for 36 dollars.
