Hey guys, I have determinded that my transome is rotten to the core so I have decided on using some of that pourable transome stuff. It seems like I will need to remove my outdrive. How hard is this. I have the seloc manual but was looking to see if you guys had any advice before tackling this task.

How do you expect someone to give you advice if we don't know the make, model, or year of your sterndrive?

Sorry about that, I thought I was at the mind-readers forum. ;)
I've got a 1968 Mark Twain with a 120 Mercruiser I/O.

Re: removing the outdrive???

OH SNAP!!! I went ahead and dropped the outdrive a little while ago. I went to drain the lower unit oil and gear oil and found nothing but water. AAHHHH!!! What will I need to fix that problem. Can I simply replace the seals and move on with life? Also, my manual said to put the gears in forward before removing the outdrive. Well guess what. I forgot to. What do I need to do to fix that? Also, between the gimble and the outdrive there was this nasty thick slush that came out.
Normaly I would simply jusst get another outdrive but since I don't have a job at this time looks like I will just have to fix it. YOur help would be greatly appreciated.
