Removing the strap on the hydrolic ram

I am about to attempt to remove/replacing the strap that is connected to the hydrolic ram (tilt/trim). The strap is connected to the ram and is where the hydrolic hose fits into. I was wondering if there was a way to do this without removing the engine. It is a Force 125 OB. The strap is no longer threaded and must be replaced. Any help with this would be great! Thanks
