Removing throttle handle - 86 Bayliner

I have an 86 Bayliner with an 85 hp Force outboard. I am trying to remove the throttle handle from the side bolster so I can recover the bolster. I've removed the center cap (fast idle button) and the attaching screw, but I cannot find a way to remove the handle from the control mechanism.

RJ,

There should be screws holding the remote to the bolster. If you remove them then there should be a separate screw holding the handle from the back side.

I found the set screw. I had to put the lever into full reverse to get access to the screw.
