Removing Volvo aq130c

I'm removing Volvo aq130c from 1975 bayliner liberty and was wondering if I can take it out without taking the outdrive off. I know there is a collar and I'm pretty sure I can only get to it by taking the outdrive off.

The drive shaft is in the rear of the motor. Trying to remove the motor without removing the drive is not good, things can be damaged

no, you have to take the drive off.

you are supposed to be pulling the drive every year for inspection anyway.

If you just have to remove the engine you can also unbolt it at the back of the engine and leave the drive alone.
