Im rebuilding my 96 112 spl, and am thinking problem was caused either by detonation, large amount of carbon on rings or coking. All from lack of maint. on my part. Question is, heads are off and pass glass table w/ feeler gauge (no warpage), do I need to take covers off heads? I think they are water jackets? water syster has been all clear so far, very little salt build up in cooling sys. Thanks Joe
