I know I asked this a few years ago, but I can't find it. Some of the links (especially iboats Marine Store links) are very long and mess with the width of the threads. How do you guys shorten and rename them?

such as
"http://www.a-gazillion-letters-numbers-and-special-characters.com"
to
"link" or "click here"

Re: Renaming Links

When you compose a post, pick Full Reply Form
Type your text ect.
When you want to enter a URL, click on the URL button. A small window will open, paste in the URL of the website. You will then be offered another small window asking for a 'name' to call this link.

Using your example "http://www.a-gazillion-letters-numbers-and-special-characters.com"

becomes Willy's Link to a website

If you hover your mouse pointer over the 'link' above, you should see the URL of where the link is pointing on the Web. You can also, right click on the link name and click on properties to see the path.
