Enema? No roto rooter. Nuts on the left, Nuts on the right and the moderates who wish to do the best for the country as a whole get screwed.

The Dem's have found a way to stop ANY legislation/appointments through the media and stonewalling. This is history in the making.

The Dem's are convinced we're stupid and uncaring.

They prefer to fight their battles, in the courts. The US population is in love with lawsuit mania.

Sorry folks, that's NOT the way this outfit (US) was set up.

Re: Rep vs Dems

Both parties are extremely corrupt, extremely. To the point that none of us would really believe it if the complete truth about everything(past 50 years) was let out. Make no mistake about that.

For anyone interested in proof, check out the below link to Operation Northwoods and actually read the document. It is not a forgery or a fake, it is the real deal, written around 40 years ago. And it was 1 signature from becoming part of history. Remember that......1 signature 40 years ago and we would be teaching our kids this stuff in History class. Sometimes the truth is scarier than fiction.

Pages 10-15 is the really bad stuff. It's in pdf format.

George Washington University - Operation Northwoods

mrbscott,

I do not disagree that both parties have issues.

I will say this (fire storm coming) that the dem's are filthy. The rep's, are dirty.

I give Teddy Kennedy as an example for the dem's. John McCain, for the rep's.

We've turned into a whining bunch of sycophants.

How did it come about that the Senate became "the worlds most exclusive society"?

That was NOT what the founding fathers meant, by a "representative government", nor, did they give the Supreme Court, or any other, the ability to "make law".

Our government is fast approaching the breaking point. Why? We as, US citizens, DON'T CARE.

We don't vote, we don't pay attention, we simply-DON'T CARE.

In that atmosphere, liberalism will win over. Liberalism has NO ABSOLUTES, thus ANYTHING goes.

Protect yours.

God help us.

DJ, don't want to get caught up in this, but gotta state that I think your your example is unfair, an apples to oranges type thing.

Unfortunately, my perspective of McCain is that he is in the minority of ALL politicians in that I see him as placing honesty and integrity above personal ambition & party politics. If you want a fair comparison, you need to take someone like Joe Lieberman, not Ted Kennedy.

An example going the opposite way would be to compare someone like Tom DeLay to someoone like Barrack O'Bama (sp?).

Who was the last democrat to quit to pursue other interests. When we made politics a career position, it all began to go downhill.

Not to be bashing attorneys and lawyers, but when our government is comprised of nothing but this group. We are in trouble.

I agree with Pointer, "When we made politics a career position, it all began to go downhill".

Government is the only ones the take away or cut programs, but they keep getting raises.

Can we move their jobs to Mexico?

I have to agree with your premise.

After reviewing the recent transportaion bill, and the energy bill, that are nothing but pork give-a-ways, the only thing to say is I long for the return of gridlock!

McCain is MY Senator-Arizona. Thus I watch him VERY closely. We get a completely different perspective here than the drivel that the national media is doling out. McCain is a media darling and there isn't a rolling camera in Washington, that he is not near.

As far as Barrack O'bama, he is wholly made of DNC and media cloth. I do not think he has a personal idea, of his own. A marvel of human (focus group) programming.

Re: Rep vs Dems

Lakelinin, You are dead on and since wants to talk about home state politics, I will say that in My State we have one worse than even ole Teddy the murderer Kennedy in Tom Delay. Of all the politicians he is the most destructive I know of in trying to change this country from a democracy to a SOLE PROPRIETORSHIP.

Course then I supported Lieberman, McClain, don't know enough about O'bama, liked Reagan, no respect for Swartsteroids in Ca., etc. not sure which party I like least.

No, this is not a troll, you stated your opinion without using inflammatory remarks. And thusly you have created a healthy debate.

To answer your question, you may have a point. The less laws they enact the better. We already have enough.

I believe all politicians should stop using inflammatory remarks in the media to get their way.

It is really in poor taste, and I am getting sick of it.

Ken

Unfortunately McCain was one of the "Keating 5" that took campaign contributions from Charles Keating. In return legislation was introduced that ultimately led to the S&L crisis that cost the US taxpayer billions.

It's not by accident we're left with a two party system and the lessor of two evils it produces. I suspect it's by design.

I find myself agreeing with many negative sentiments here, and with some of you with whom I almost always disagree! But the way I would express it is that we desparately need statesmen, NOT politicians---and especially NOT LAWYERS!!!

-dd-

I find it difficult to believe that all these friendly Cubans were going to take part in a vast conspiracy and never tell a soul about it.

Otherwise, remember that there are military planners constantly making preparations for all kinds of contingencies. And the other guys' planners are busy doing the same thing...it's all a great big wide open chess game. There may well have arisen a time to put Northwoods into action (if indeed it was a real plan) under circumstances that justified it perfectly. Intrigue is rarely a single-layered thing.
