i have a 74 starcraft bass boat and the paint is chipping all the way to the fiberglass the ?? is can i use paint stipper to get the reswt of it off and go down to the fiberglass layer without hurting the fiberglass layer

TC those are sure pretty but I to would have to wait till after I got out of the Pen for robbing banks to get one .
Tim that looks like Gel coat to me how about a wider angle shot of the issue . I think you have bigger problems than a simple paintjob is gonna fix unfortunaately not that it cant be fixed but its onna take more than some paint.

it is just the top half of boat hull is like new the paint or gel coat on top is very thin and it comes off pretty easily in some spots but the main glass layer looks very good shape just need to know how to get it off without hurting the fiberglass layer the most economical and fastest way please need ideas like using a wire wheel brush on my grinder or any other ways like paint stipper ect....
