I have:

'69 Johnson 9.0hp
'68 Johnson 20 hp

What's a good source (least expensive) for repair manuals on the above?

So far, I think the lower unit is where the most of the work is needed.

Least expensive probably Seloc manuals they are not specific to any particular models so you could buy one and not find it very useful at all.

Copies of the official manuals should be available from Ken Cook www.outboardbooks.com.

Least expensive they are not but get the right ones and they will have all the information you require for the models you have.

Ebay worth a look but beware of illegal pirate copies and dodgy CDs.
