Not sure this is brass but it looks like it. I would say it is made out of the same material that those long twist nozzles for garden hoses. I overtightened a drain plug on the in-feed side of my 3500 pressure washer. Well I cracked the housing. Is there a way to repair it other than buying a new housing?

Thanks for the help in advance

Re: Repairing brass

JB Weld is supposed to work on brass.... and considering that this is the "low pressure" side it might work. If it was my choice I would replace the bad part and be done with it.

Doing it right the first time beats doing it twice.

Bob

You do not know how many times I tell my self that. But for some reason I have to find a short cut whit the intention of doing it right when winter comes.

Re: Repairing brass

Take it to a welding shop or anyone with a torch and ask them to braze it. That's brass!

Call the manufacturer...you might be pleasantly suprised. If not then consider the repair. It is somtimes amazing how nice and generous the manufacturers can be...It is worth a call.

Re: Repairing brass

Like Bob_VT said this is low end (pressure wise) of the system. JB Weld, Marine Tex.. solder or have it brazed. All easy and cheap. I tend to go for over kill and would have it brazed..
My .02 worth..
3 bucks for JB Weld and five bucks for Marine tex.. or formular 27 and 30 bucks to have it brazed... I would still have it brazed..
Did I say Over Kill!
Link :)
