Hello all,
First off thanks to everyone on this board. It is very informative and VERY enjoyable. A question, I need to repair/replace about a 6" square area of diamond non-skid on my deck in a flat area. There is a void between the gel-coat and glass and the gel has some fine cracks in the area. The deck is cored with foam and feels very solid. I need to know how to match the non-skid to make it look "factory". I have the matching gel coat. Or should I hire a pro? I am OK with gel coat but never done this before. Thanks for the help!

You can buy (or at least at one time you could) a soft plastic sheet with that pattern in it, they use the same product to make the pattern in the mold, only it's the opposite shape. You put the gel coat down then place the sheet with the pattern down on the gel coat and let it cure. When it's hard you pull the sheet of and there's your pattern.
