I recently purchased a new coil, condensor, points, and cam for the 3.5 hp Clinton. I tested the spark and I have a weak spark, at best. I set the gap to the factory settings IAW the manual. I am at a loss. There is no adjustment to the stator. It seems it would be an easy fix. Can anyone tell me why the new coil/condensor is not firing?

I'm thinking some issue between the knew coil and armature or a weak condensor

How weak is weak? Those motors had a weak spark when brand new. You will never get it to zap a big long fat spark like some other motors. How they manage to run, I don't know. But they do. Aeronautical engineers say a bumblebee can't fly either. But it does. Try your Clinton and see if it runs.
