Repairing transom holes?

Hi guys. I am in the middle of my resto on my fiberform. The transom has a bunch of holes in the skin where the motor was mounted, as well as other equipment like a swim ladder and transducer.

I would like to start out with a clean transom skin to mount things to. I am swapping out my manual outboard motor bracket for one that has power trim/tilt, and has different mounting holes.

I also put a chisel throuh the transom skin when I was removing the core.

What is the best method for repairing these holes? Does each hole need to be
ground and feathered and scarfed? Can I
just lay a few sheets of glass down before I put the core back in?

I want to do this repair right and would greatly appreciate some input from the pros on the forum.

Thanks,
Kevin

Tape em off on the outside with Packing Tape. When you install the transom use plenty of PB and when you clamp it down the pb will fill all the hole, Flush and the tape will hold the squeeze out. I might bulge a bit but you can sand it, fair it with resin and glass bubbles and then redrill where necessary. Works Great.

Right on. Thanks for the tip, Wood! That should make things a little easier.
