I read some posts about how to block the transom to raise the boat up.
I wanted to know if it would be safer to use jack stands on the trailer itself to raise it up 4-8".
I have some spots on the bow and unerneath the hull that need repairs with marine tex and then paint. Lastly I have a keel shield to put down the center to protect from future damage.
Since I will be under the boat I want to make sure that it is safe, blocking the boat seems somewhat unsafe considering I would inexperienced with that. I have jack stands and have used once before to hold the trailer while I went and had one of the tires fixed.
If using jack stands is not a safe alternative than I will just squeeze undernearth.
Would rather we safe and uncomfortable than another stain on my driveway.
