Replace bearings or not?

Hello all, a newbie here with my first question. I?m rebuilding my 1989 merc V-6 135 due to an oil injection failure . Have the powerhead at the machine shop and I?m now wondering what bearings I should replace? I plan on replacing the upper and lower rod bearings but do I need to replace the crank bearings? They all seam good and tight and well lubricated. Thanks for the input.

The way I look at it is they are 16 years old and you have the hard part done so why take a chance? Replace them.

That's pretty much what I was thinking but if someone with more knowledge than me told me that they are bullet proof I might think about saving the couple hundred of bucks. Thanks!

If they are easy spinners, no sound, zero roughness, no discoloration, no marks or pitting..probably...let a a good wrench feel them up..
