Hi, all. Just as the title says I'm wondering if I can/should replace cracked/repaired (before I bought the boat), freshwater only exhaust manifolds without replacing the risers if they are good. I could save some much needed money if i can do that (May is a very expensive month every year...4 birthdays, anniversary, Michigan registration renewal for $180!!, general spring crap etc.). The boat is an '87 4.3 four winns sundowner 195 that I don't anticipate owning for more than a few more seasons, especially if I make it to be a firefighter. What do y'all think? Thanks in advance for any advice.

I did this once. Won’t do it again. Not worth it. My case found that they didn’t match and seal easily. Then the risers failed soon after.

I wondered about the fit. I haven't actually inspected them yet, so they may need to be replaced anyway. Thanks for sharing your experience.
