I almost ruined my engine by not knowing the life of them is 4 years at most. Here's a trick I discovered today. The bolts on the head were so rusted, there was nothing to get a bite onto with a socket. So a took a dremel drill and a cutting disc, and grinded two slots in the bolt and made the bolt look like a giant phillips head. I then got my biggest screwdriver out, drove it in, put the visegrips on the screwdriver handle, and presto! It worked on both sides!
