Does anyone have experience with replacing the trim switch on the throttle control. My "up" button does not work on the throttle, as it is stuck, and I would rather not replace the whole box. I cannot tell how to get the handle apart to look at the switch.

Thanks for the help!

Mike

I have a 79 and don't know how old yours is or if they have changed them. You will have to take the box off and apart. There is an allen screw that holds the handle on. After loosening, drive handle out with a punch. There are two screws under the decal on the front of the handle and one in the control knob if you have Power tilt and trim. You should be able to see the switch. Good luck.
