I am replacing the cockpit floor on my '79 Grady-White runabout and I think it would be wise to replace the original aluminum fuel tank since I have the floor up already. The current tank sits int the bilge area between stringers under the floor. I would like to replace it with a plastice fuel tank. Before I can determine which model tank to order, I need to understand how these plastic tanks should be mounted. Can anyone tell me general guideleines for mounting a plastic below-deck replacement fuel tank.

Thanks in advance

Aluminum fuel tank life expectancy is 30 to 50 years.

even if you use a poly tank i would still make an access hatch to replace tank if need be in the future. if it doesnt already have one.
