My blower makes enough noise to be cleary audibile at idle speed. Are there any replacement brands that are quieter? Are they hard to replace?

Re: replacement blower

if it sounds like a small motor running, that is normal, if it is rumbling, the bearing are going. i can hear mine run. depends on where they are mounted and to have easy they are to replace. simple to replace, getting to them is the hard part.

Re: replacement blower

If your blower is like mine (in-line), the actual replacing is simple. 2 screw clamps holding flexible duct tubing to the in-line motor. Rewire the same.

Re: replacement blower

I have 2 similar to these in my boat (35' express), I can't hear them running even when nothing else is on so I have to hold my hand over the vent to feel the air coming out, which is a good habit to get into anyway. Just because you can hear your blower doesn't mean that an output hose can't fall off and the vented air is going right back into the bilge.
