I have 3.7LX mercruiser. at WOT it runs at 4200 rpm and 37mph. max rpm for the engine is 4200 - 4800. It has a 3 blade 14x19. The prop broke yesterday and Im having trouble finding a prop of the same size. Is there any size that would work?

Re: replacement prop

If your making a prop change now is the time to address any issues you might be able to improve with a prop. You might consider a 17 especially if you do water sports or run with a load of people and gear.It should put your rpm around 4,600 and make the boat more powerful.

Re: replacement prop

So a 14x17 would be better for pulling a tube or knee board? Would that give me higher top end or better out ofhe hole? This is my first boat and it still confusing to me. But dont change the diameter right?

The 17 will improve your hole shot.Depending on the rpm gain may stay about the same speed.Don't worry about diameter if the prop is intended for your application
the diameter will follow.Generally diameter is a secondary consideration only for certain spicific problems.
