I'm trying to help out a friend whose boat was stranded recently. He has an early 90s Seaswirl Sierra Classic 19' Cuddy Cabin with an OMC I/O. The neutral release inside of the throttle handle broke into two pieces and he was unable to get the boat out of neutral. He isn't the most technical person, so he had to get the boat towed in and hasn't been able to use it since.
I disassembled the throttle handle and the red plastic neutral release device was indeed broken in half. Then I promptly lost it. Sheesh. There were no part numbers on the part itself, but each half of the throttle lever has a part number and a manufacturer's logo. The logo is an italicized, capital M inside of a parallelogram with a larger circle around it. The part numbers are 126020 for the black plastic front half and 126019 for the chrome rear half.
I searched Google for these part numbers, but didn't come up with anything useful. Also, since Seaswirl and OMC have both vanished I couldn't really figure out how to search out this part. I am hoping that someone here will be able to help me. Thanks!
