I'm looking at having a replacement engine wiring harness made (Volvo Penta PN 3855929) since mine is now obsolete and apparently failing according to my mechanic. Anyone have any advice on where/who I could have one of these made?

If the harness is not too involved I would suggest making one yourself. I've done this and as long as you have the tools and a good supplier for connectors it can be done. Otherwise google it, and I'm sure there will be many places willing and able. Let us know what you find

Probably not hard to do as long as one has the time. Unfortunately I don't have the luxury of time. And it sounds like it'll be more involved because my year wiring harness is known to be of poor quality with brittle wires breaking all over. I just need someone to make one for me. I tried Google and have sent off several emails however have yet to hear anything back from anyone. Figured maybe someone has more experience than I in dealing with it.

Have you considered buying a newer harness and adapting it to your engine? Get something with enough circuits and have your mechanic adapt it
