Replacing 8 pin enging harness

Is it possile to replace the 8 pin electrical plug that plugs into the circuit breaker board? When i move it around i looose my temp guage and the engine stalls. Ive tryed to spread the pins, The boat is a 2000 seaswirl with a volvo penta 3.0

Umm, have you tried a little bit of this? Last week my engine just quit, no sputter nothing. Then my blower fan quit and my dash was dead. After checking all other connections, it came down to the 8 pin connection. Got me a can of this a put about 1/2 pea sized glob in each pin hole and it has yet to happen again.
