Help me please!
This is my first boat; 19' 1989 Starcraft 75HP Mercury OB

I have rewired the trailer, replaced all wiring in the boat, replaced bilge pump & installed fuel gauge from dash to tank.
Now I have soft spots in the front area where the black holes are for the fuel access.

A, I can not get the bench seats in the front pulled, how do the come out? I do not want to damage them as I may need a template to rebuild.
B, I have read may posts to use marine not pressure treated ply?
C, Coat the ply with sealant, why if I am using either of the above?
D, Rating of 1 - 10 what is the level of difficulty on this? 1 = easy & 10 being take it in for a pro to do....

Any pictures, manuals, advice or websites to reference would be most appreciated.

Thank you for reading this and please do not bash me too harshly??

Don't use pressure treated. If it's wet the resin won't adhere to it. On my Starcraft, the seats are screwed to the deck. 1-10? Depends on your skill, time, patience, the tools u have on hand, & what needs to be replaced, including stringers. You will also need a good vocabulary of curse words, when the going gets rough. Good luck.

You fellows on this post are awesome....
Now I am dealing with an issue on the power tilt.
It clicks and does not raise or lower, when taking apart the top of the hydraulic pump I smacked it with a rubber mallet and it raises and lowers now but with a horrible garbage disposal sound? Before doing anything I cleaned all contact connections with very fine sandpaper just to make sure the clicking was not electrical. How can I remove the top of the hydraulic pump? Does the motor have to come off the boat? Please let me in on some secret to fixing this. A kit to redo the motor looks to be around $50 and the complete replacement looks to be $200 - $300 and my wife will kill me!
