Is this difficult? what material can i use to get rid of of the carpet.

Uh, well... not enough info to say if it's difficult or not (how much of it? material? Why? Boat length, etc...). Labor intensive? Yeah. Not to mention WHY are you replacing the floors? Because they are sagging/weak? That would indicate other problems that you may discover after you cut out the existing floors, like rotted stringers and so forth.

On the carpet... run over to Home Depot or Harbor Freight and get one of those multi-tool things. They are great when it comes to boat building. Slap on the scraper blade and go after it. Should only take you about 30 mins. Then put on a 60 grit disc on your sander and sand down the remaining glue.

floors have soft spots so i decided to replace all the floors... this is an aluminum boat so i assume no wood stringers.... do nt want to use carpet again

DO a search - there was a crestliner sportfish restoration thread that should turn up and help provide some guidance. There are also many Starcraft threads with floor replacement info. At least they would have the aluminum hull in common.
