I'll be replacing a cracked fuel inlet on my 1991 Evinrude this weekend. Do I need to flush the gas out of the system before I remove the old inlet? Or should I be good to simply remove the part and catch whatever comes out in a 5-gallon bucket?

Id do the second although you could unhook and turn her over a few cranks to get the fuel through the line further so it wont leak out
