Can anyone provide instruction to replace all the fuel lines on this engine. I'm not referring to the lines leading to the motor, only the lines on the motor.

Sure. Take 1 hose off, both water and fuel hose, and take it to auto zone or somewhere and get the store clerk to match up, and cut off about 6 foot of hose for both fuel and water. "both lines have a different size diamiter." Dont throw away hoses yet, when you have the new hoses, mesure the old hoses to your new hose so you will know where to cut.
Go ahead and buy some hose clamps, I suggest to use the screw tight metal ones for a good seal. While your at it, Buy a small cheap inline fuel filter to add on the fuel line somewhere to keep tiny pieces of trash from clogging your jets, Alot of fuel problems on this forum are causes of clogged jets.

Many would recommend that you purchased the fuel line at a marine supply store. Marine grade fuel hose seem to be thicker and more durable.

More expensive too.

All of the original Merc lines are likely crimped connectors, which over time can leak. You'll need to get some brass NPT hose barbs from the hardware store in the various angles and configurations to match up with the ones on your motor. Use stainless steel hose clamps and good, marine grade fuel hose...
- Scott

If you reuse the plastic connectors be careful not to overtighten the screw type hose clamps and break or crack the plastic connectors

Yeah, dont over tighten those thing. You will know when its tight. Dont worry about mercury or other marine brand name hoses, its just another company trying to make money. All fuel hoses are the same, trust me, I do it for a living. The guys at your local parts store wont do you wrong. You got a job thats too easy, just use your own perspective. :p :p

Hey, since your so conserned about your fuel supply system, why dont you go ahead and rebuild your fuel pump. All it is is a diaphram with 1 or 2 gaskets. It'll only run you around $5.00 for kit. Its a good experiance and an easy do it yourself job. Dont forget the idea about an inline fuel filter.
