I have a 2001 volvo penta 3.0l GSM-A that has a cracked block from overheating. I am getting a long block from Michigan Motors to replace it. Do I need to be concerned about anything with putting the old exhaust manifold on the new motor? From what I can gather, there is not much pressure there and as long as I have a good seal with the gasket I should be ok. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

If the manifold is still good - no cracks or mating surface deterioration - then you should be good to go. It is a common practice when doing a long block replacement.
