Replacing o-rings on pressure gas line

Hello, I have a 1957 evinrude 18 hp motor model # 15922. I have a bad o-ring inside the fitting that connects to the motor( on the gas line) and im not shure how to get it out. I don't wan't to damage the brass thats on the outside of the fitting. does anyone know the proper way to replace these o-rings?
