The Power Steering Belt on my 1995 OMC 3.0 Cobra is squealing and it looks like I need to replace it. However, it looks like the front engine mount needs to be removed to replace the belt. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove the mount without using an engine lift?

There's a Spacer Block on the Portside of the Motor Mount,...Just remove the 2 bolts on that side,+ Slip the New Belt into place.......

Some 3.0 OMC engine mounts DO NOT have spacers.<br />However, i have changed many of them by removing the two bolts behind the alt., they have 5/8 heads on them. then loosen( DO NOT REMOVE THEM) the other two bolts on the otherside, going slowly use a small prybar to move the mount away from the block you will have to use judgment as how loose the other bolts are. As you pry the mount pull the old belt out, remember if the oldone comes out, the newone will go in,it's going to be tight but it works. It's best to have a friend help, because you will have to use somesort of bar to slightly aline the mount to start the bolts.Remember you only need a litle space for the new belt. it takes a little bit of trying but it works.
