I'm considering replacing the power trim unit on my 96' Yamaha v6 150......it doesn't seem like a tough job, but any advice would be appreciated.

No big deal on a fresh water motor even though you do need to pull the motor off the boat and support it. Salt water use makes it a whole different world sometimes.

Yeah, I know about salt water problems.....and unfortunately that's where this boat goes. Thanks for the tip though - I'll probably play it safe and have the experts tackle it.

I changed mine on a johnson and it was easy. I did it on the boat. Use it in salt water. No problem so far. GO for it.
