replacing the floor on a tri hull

i am replacing the floor on my boat mainly because the foam under it is water soaked. so im going to pull all of the foam out and fix the leak. my question is should i replace the foam or not. and if i should what sould i use. the foam that you get in a spray can or is there something else i should use

Search for Skanky Beast in the boat restoration forum. Tells you all about it, restoring a trihull by JasonJ. Spray can foam won't cut it...most use the two-part, mixable, pour in foam. Good luck and post some pix.

my question is should i replace the foam or not.

I replaced my floor/transom because of rot and saturated foam and did not replace the foam. I feel much more comfortable when I can raise my boat using the jack and see if there is any water left in the boat.

Best of luck to you - that is not a fun job. :(
