replacing the powerhead

HI I am new to the list and I am looking for some help.I have a 2002 evinrude 250 hp and i think it has a cracked block .IT has rust and salt water in 1 cylinder hole .So I am thinking of replacing the power head my self.Is there any special tools I will need.

You need a factory service manual for your motor. BRP dealers can provide one or you can order online from the BRP service. Each section will list the tools needed for particular service work.

no i am not shure .but it sat for the 3 months and cyl. is rusty wont turn over

If you take the cylinder head off, you can tell. Get a new head gasket, though.
