This may help someone. I had a leaking gasket under the muffler. Where it bolts to the adapter plate. It was six nuts and three hoses, fairly easy to do. Once the muffler was off I had pretty good access to the thermostats. So I decided to pull them and place in hot water on the stove and check to see if they open and what temp did they open. They turned out to be fine so I reinstalled them. This was probably the best access you can get to the thermostats without pulling the powerhead. Really not to bad to do. Hopefully this will save someone some bloody knuckles...lol

Hi boobie. No still running the same. Tops out at 5,000 rpms. Last weekend I had my son, wife, cooler of food, and fishing gear. It ran the same I thought it would show down a little but same rpms, like if I was in it by myself.
