Hello,
I have noticed alot of problems with tilt/trim on this site. My search of the site didn't produce an answer to my issue. Mine seems like one of the simpler problems.

Using my trusty Cylmer manual, I have determined that the switch(s) are not functioning in my shifter arm/throttle. (I cut the 3 wires going into the arm and by touching 2 of the 3 wires, I can make my outdrive go either up or down). It could also be a wiring problem/failure in the arm as well, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the arm off and get access to the trim/tilt switches.

Is this switch replaceable or do I have to replace the whole arm assembly?

I have a 1991 Crownline 182BR with a 4.3L OMC outdrive. The Cylmer manual has a great wiring diagram but very generic reference for the shifter and trim/tilt switches, and mentions nothing about how to remove the shifter arm to get access to the switches.

I'm guessing this is relatively simple, but there's not much room to work behind the arm and I can't seem to figure out where to start.

Any guidance you could provide would be great.
Thanks.
