I have a 230 Volvo Penta in a 94 Glasstron and I'm about to replace the engine. My question is, besides the throttle cable and electronics and the 4 or 6 bolts (motor mounts), what else am I looking at to remove the engine???

- Pull the upper gear box on the outdrive.
- remove the clamping ring (6 bolts behind the upper gear box).
- Motor mounts, cables, wires,...
- pull motor

Follow this thread.

That'll get the upper off.

Behind the upper is the clamping ring. six bolts. Once removed, the ring can be loosened from the flywheel cover by threading one or two of the six bolts into one of the unused holes and tightening the bolt into the hole to help jack the clamping ring off.

Let us know how it goes.:)
