replacing Water Distribution Housing with a custom stainless one???

has anyone got sick of the plastic Water Distribution Housing and replaced it with a custom stainless one? im going to make one this week, as my current plastic one leaks now, i read a lot of them fail, any thoughts cheers.

5.7 mpi 0w serial, the silly palstic water distribution housing at the bottom of the engine, the plastic one that cracks where the blue plastic plug goes in, the round ball looking thing.
