I've got a 17' alum. bass boat, 40 hp Merc O/B and noticed the front seat(bench w/ 2 swivels) was sagging. Tore it out last pm and saw it was plywood(rotted), bolted to alum. stringers. Don't want to replace w/ wood, figured on just getting(where?) alum. sheet 1/8" and bolting to stringer and maybe putting swivels back in or velcroing float cushions as padding/removeable for throwing out(PFT). Beleive back seat and foredeck is same and will have to replace at some point in time(no visible damage yet)Would like to know all ideas, Thanks, Heinz

Heinz CA.,<br /> Visit your local marine store and ask for Star Board. It is a solid white plastic building material for boats.Impervious to sun/salt/water etc.Comes in many size's.
