the ignition coil is mounted with a bracket to a tan box that says Magnapower. But like I said I am not getting fire to any plugs so I figured I'd change the coil. I was trying to start it off of my truck battery while it was running. It was showing 14 Volts DC and I followed it all the way up and every thing read out fine on my volt meter. The only thing I couldn't check was my ignition coil because it had to be running. Unless anyone knows a way I could check the coil while it's not running. Please help.

Thanks a bunch,
Hawk

Take and run the blue wire to 12 volts on the terminal block. D/c the black and white wire from the dist.

Take the large wire off the coil and put a smaller wire inside the coil where the old large wire was.

Hold this small wire about 1/2 in from the block and then touch the black and white wire against the block.

The coil should spark.

If the coil does spark..the problem will lie inside your dist..probebly the points.

TMD
