The saltwater finally did enough damage to the mid sections of my twin Forces.
They still ran great but I couldn't trust them to go any farther than the inlet and my ocean fishing has suffered.
I'm repowering to a single 225 EFI Mercury.
These pics are of the motors after I took them apart.

Will add more as I progress.

I did this same job about 6-7 years ago and had a bunch of old parts (dash panel and gauges)that I can just clean up and re-use.
That boat the transom was very weak and I ended up buying the same boat with twin motors(like the original one bought in 88)with a good transom.

More as I think?? and work.

Already prepped the holes and drilled out the odd shaped and removed the splash well scupper tubes.
These will be replaced/filled in after the new holes for the motor are drilled.
Bought the various size dowels and fiberglass resin and was going to start working on the holes.
RAIN all morning :(

Bayliner stopped selling replacement parts for boats that old.
Any idea on where to get the trim piece that goes across the back where the motor mounts?
Or something to use in place of the trim??
Thanks.

Aluminum C channel? Another option may be to contact a plastics place and see if they can make it for you. There's a custom shop in my neck of the woods that can do all sorts of stuff.

You might be able to get a sheet metal shop to brake a piece of alluminium in the shape you need.

The piece I want to replace wouldn't look real good all beat to $%*& with a hammer??

Got a few more things done.
The skeg was damaged and I had a friend weld a piece on it.
The T@T motor was working but I don't know how??(see pic)
It also leaked and I found the repair kit for just the tilt ram.
Now to get the spanner wrench to fix.
The transom filled with filler and finishing will be started tomorrow??

The dash panels are coming along nicely. 2nd coat.
The shifter will leave a big hole and my neighbor has piece of Teak 2x8x18.
Should be able to cut it down to something more manageable.
Was gonna use a piece of Starboard I had laying around but the wood looks so much better..
Gonna post this before it disappears again.
Will add pics shortly.

Overall it's about 14" and 5#

I doubt anyone's gonna get it.

I use it when we fish.
Deep water fishing and when the fish come up with their swim bladders expanded..
I push the long skinny rod through their gills and drop it back to the bottom.
This allows the fish's bladder to decompress.
I made this after I couldn't get a 50# grouper to decompress while venting.

Been a while since I posted anything.
The works been slow, busy working on my friends fishing boat.
Runs like a champ now!! fishing's been LOUSY!!

The port side cowl damaged and some repairs in progress.
The cowl is beyond repair. I found a NEW one fairly cheap.
Waiting for the delivery.

The stern is all filled in and smoothed out.

Started on the dash today.
Removing the old wiring was a PITA.
I could have left it but didn't like the hanging stuff.
