If I repower my 1973 Sea Nymph 14R boat, would a four stroke outboard be too heavy? I may possibly consider a 20 HP Honda Four stroke outboard that
has short shaft, tiller steer, and manual start. According to Honda's specs, this
motor would weigh 101 lbs. Yeah,...I know that I am technically an OMC guy,
but I would consider "going green" with a four stroke outboard. My boat is
rated for 25 HP,but a 20 HP Honda would do the job,...plus give me far better fuel economy than my old two stroke. Mercury and Yamahas' 20 HP four strokes w/ same features as the Honda are HEAVIER THAN the Honda,...about
10 to 12 lbs. heavier. Would a 101 lb. four stroke be too heavy for my good ole Sea Nymph?
