I think I read somewhere that the 25 can be reprogrammed to be a 30? It's 08 25 4 stroke fuel inject Nissan

No, it cannot. You can buy a new ECM nd throttle body, but that is over a $1000.00

A complex inquiry, seems mission impossibe unless you are a skilled electronic engineer and computer genious having a friend at the factory to tell the tech difference and what to modify A piece of cake it were a 2 strokes version. Is there much price difference between a 25 and a 30 as to better buy a 30 HP ?

Could it be, yes. Will it be, no. There are no specs available to the public to set the chip, so it's a moot point.

the small price difference is why i ended up with the 30 hp. maybe 500$.

i found this used.. i wish id found a 30
