Can anyone recommend any good restore books or fiberglass books. Good picture's step by step <br />how-tos. Any reference material that might help or helped you.<br /><br />Thanks <br />Trent

Hey Trent, I prefer video tapes. Nothing like actually seeing it done by a pro. <br /><br />Two I can recommend directly are "Fiberglass Repair with Bruce McDugal" It is number H917 distributed by Bennett marine Video and the second is "Gelcoat/Fiberglass, Vol 2" It is number H906 also distributed by Bennett marine Video.<br /><br />In the first tape Bruce completely rebuilds a late 70s early 80s like 28' Bayliner - stringers, bulkheads, transom, decks, etc.<br /><br />In the second tape the guy mostly repairs holes, stress cracks, etc.<br /><br />You can go to Bennet's web site and then shop around for the best price for the tapes you want<br /><br /> http://bennettmarine.com/

The bible for small boat rebuilding is "Runabout Renovation" by Jim Anderson. About $15 at amazon.com

The Video's are listed on e-bay for $17.00 less than Bennett marine.

I think the runabout was a good book but you will get a better idea just browsing here. Try this THING it seems to work fine. :) That a shortcut to the search function.<br /><br />I also like to see it done it does help a lot!

I bought Runabout Renovation. Very good book. It give's great ideas on how to tackle it.
