i bought a 17' crestliner that was in need of repair on the inside (new plywood carpet) i bought the boat for 250 dollars not knowing anything about boats and on a little bit of a budget i didnt even know if the old mercury engine would run "merc500" 50 horsepower luckily the old gal ran pulled bottom off motor ?transom? and checked the water impeller looked practically brand new shoots water out through hole (got lucky on that one) the problem lies here i am practically out of money to buy A repair manual to adjust everything the old engine when in open throttle will slow down speed up slow down speed up is there someone out there who will email me parts of the manual on how to make adjustments to the old girl ???
