I have a snap on cockpit cover that is discolored due to the sun and motor oil that got on it. After a good cleaning it still looks bad. My thoughts was to try dying the cover to make it look new again. Have anyone tried this before or know what type of dye I would use for this project?

Unless you have access to something other than RIT dye at Wally world, I think the options are kind of limited.

I would wash it about a million times after dying it before i put it on the boat for fear that a rain storm would wash the dye out of the canvas into the carpet, etc.

I bought the same dye at Wally world and dyed the seat covers, navy blue. A month later there white again and i followed the directions. Just my experience.
