I have a 1970 Bass Bomber, this boat is a tri-hull with a 1972 125hp Evinrude motor outboard on it. Runs good and plains right out, also has a 12/24 trolling motor with it. I just wanted to paint it at first then I took it out a few times, and found I need to do some things to get it the way I want it. So I started taking it apart and got stuck, it seems that the top does not have a seam all the way around. It appears to me that the stern needs to be cut by the transom? If so I'm sure exactly where this cut should be? Also I have no casting deck in the front of the boat, What ye say 4' or 7' deck. 7' puts it right up to the steering console. Ok now I know ye all want some pics !!!

Get the motor off. Use a sawzall and plunge cut vertically down on the inside edge of the fiberglass where the motor mount bolts were. The MFG Glasses the hull to the transom all along that spot inside the splashwell.

A carpenters Handsaw and a Shovel. Cut down alongside the stringers with the saw to get it loose and then use the shovel to pry it up.

Thanks Again Woodonglass, Posting more pics. My only problem now is fining a way to get water from that low spot to the drain or block it off with fiberglass.

Here are some more pics of the water. I also wanted to thank our Vets for my freedom to work on this boat, and pray for the families of those lost.

Ok, I understand that there's water there now, but... as stated, if you do the job right there won't be any water getting under your deck in the future to worry about.

I have 1/2 of the wood removed from the underside of the inner hall. Simple Question this time. Should I remove the 1/4" of resin underneath the wood it is cracked in places and has some holes drilled in it from previous owner? This will put me back down to the fiberglass.
